As advertised, it protects your bed partner from movement. If you like a soft mattress, I would definitely look elsewhere. If you like a really firm mattress, I think this one could fit the bill. The Sleep Innovations 12-Inch Gel Swirl King memory foam mattress purchased on eBay started off nice and firm, but within a couple of months it lost the firm feeling and back started to hurt. After my first night of sleep, i must say, I am pleased. the smell hasnt gone away just yet, but all memory foam mattresses/pillows etc have this issue.

This mattress is already perfect for you if you like a really firm mattress. Not medium, and not medium-firm. Yes, the gel beads make it sleep a little cooler than a Temp, but any foam will give back a lot of your body heat, simply by the nature of foam. Adding a topper, even a Temp, does not make it sleep much warmer, and for me during winter sleeping warm is a great thing anyhow.

This is a great value if you are looking for a firm memory foam mattress. I am really glad that we tried this Sleep Innovations 12-Inch Gel Swirl Memory Foam Mattress vs. big name brand foam mattresses for $2700+. probably not as nice, but it does sleep well. I would recommend to anyone looking for a firm foam mattress.
