I ordered 2 of these Signature Sleep Essential 6-Inch Twin Mattress for replacements for their bunk beds. My children loves these beds and say its the best sleep they have ever gotten. We only cut a few holes in the ends of the plastic so that the mattresses remain protected from accidental bed wetting and spills.

This Signature Sleep Essential 6-Inch Twin Mattress is not even in the same category, it's pretty wonderful for the price and very comfortable in general. These beds are very comfortable, I am a bigger woman and I can lay comfortably on them and sleep. Now if you've never seen a 6" mattress before, it is THIN.

I was looking at it and thinking oh boy I'm going to need to buy a mattress pad, this thing is pathetic... Until I lay on it and thought woah. This is a very comfortable mattress so don't be alarmed when it inflates and you realize how thin 6" really is. I recommend these for everyone. In fact I am going to be ordering another in the next 4 months for my other son to replace his top mattress.

These are NOT air mattresses. These are real, springs-and-everything, mattresses. My kids love them. My mother-in-law has told me that she thought they were very comfortable to sleep on and I have even spent a night or two in them myself when the kids were sick.

Okay, I'm a little "thick around the midsection", "big boned", "a little on the hefty side", well I'm about 223 pounds and this bed is very comfortable. My official opinion: not bad at all. Not it does not match the quality of my 15 inch deep pillow-top mattress on my king sized bed, but it never claimed to.
